Common Performs Live for Celebrate St. Louis Concert Series 2010

What happens when a celebrity, movie star, and world renowned rapper come to Saint Louis, for a free concert? Controlled chaos, amplified energy and intellectual word play; as large crowds and true hip hop supporters hit streets of Saint Louis July 9th to see Chicago native Common (also known as Common Sense) hit the stage to perform for the Summer concert series Celebrate Saint Louis.

Common, rejuvenated from his promotional tour, made his long awaited return to Saint Louis to head line the kick off to the second installment of the Celebrate Saint Louis concert series. Greeted by a massive crowd and electric energy, common wasted no time in winning the crowd over with early favorites with not too distant past hits and crowd favorites such as “I used to love her,” “Testify,” and “Go.” Common gave the crowd his soul, and the people of Saint Louis had no problem reciprocating the energy.

“This is what Hip hop needs, this is what Saint Louis needs, there are so many carbon copies in hip hop that people have convinced themselves they are original. But what I seen tonight, on that stage, was originality, true to form. True to life…”-DPP CEO Radio Rotation Records.
